The Company is always interviewing qualified Owner/Operators as it continues to expand its business. Generally, Owner/Operators should possess a truck and flat bed trailer which is five years of age or less and in superior working condition. The Company negotiates exclusive equipment leases with Owner/Operators for a period of five years subject to certain terms and conditions at a very competitive percentage rate, , making it possible for Owner/Operators to earn up to $150,000. Further, Owner/Operators are issued Comdata cards for fuel purchases on an advance basis pending settlement.
Owner/Operators must meet all of the driver experience requirements which are applicable to Company drivers including all of the requirements imposed by the United States Department of Transportation, the Texas Department of Transportation, and all applicable state and federal regulations regarding the operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Owner/Operators must also have a safe driving record; in order to be considered an Owner/Operator must meet the Company’s and its insurer’s safe driving requirements. The details of these policies and their requirements can be discussed in detail based upon the specific circumstances. However, any Owner/Operator or their driver with an arrest or conviction for driving under the influence within the past ten years is not a candidate for leasing with the Company.
Although, Owner/Operators are not Company employees, they are greatly valued members of Team and regional and long-haul positions are available and due to the fact the Company operates a scheduled less-than-load service, Owner/Operators generally enjoy eight days a month off with the down time being able to be spent at their home.
